Union Square – Christmas Markets – New York

Came across this Christmas market in Union Square a few days ago, its sits next to the regular Farmers market.

The farmers market is taken very seriously and this one appears three times a week.

Our friend Sadhbh Walsh explained that New Yorkers try very hard to support their local farmers. She belongs to a Park Slope Food Co-Op started in 1973 called CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, they only buy farmers within 500 miles of the city.

The Christmas part of the market runs for the 3 weeks before Christmas … I do like the look of that whiskey, but it could just be the weather.
