The Umami spread – Black Betty Bam

During the Christmas break I posted a snap of my breakfast ... what can I say it was a very quiet time...a crumpet with Vegemite and just wrote perfection! A comment popped in from Tinkerbell, the fabulous partner of chef Christine Mansfield, saying ... No, you haven't tried Black Betty Bam! She was right I had no idea what she was talking about.

Not long after Samantha Gowing the creator of Black Betty Bam got in touch to see if I would like try it...with these recommendations, I would have been mad to say no.

It is delicious and I suspect a lot healthier than our Vegemite, in fact my taste test...nearly an entire packet of crumpets.... the Vegemite tasted incredibly salty.
