The one and only Lesley Crawford is a style Icon! Lesley transforms people, she did this for years at SBS as their in-house stylist and continues on today … For herself she treats dressing up as her “Art Form”.  “I’m a three -dimensional walking art …. Something like that, not for anyone else just for myself it’s a form of self-expression.”

WHO ARE THE DESIGNER YOU LIKE?

My favourite Australian designer is Pamela Easton. I have worn Easton Pearson for many many years. I love the new range she is now doing online. International designers my faves are Dries Van Noten, Balenciaga, Fucci, Marni, Prada and Issey Myiake. These labels I enjoy finding on sale or at designer consignment stores.

WHAT SORT OF CLOTHES APPEAL TO YOUR?

I go for comfort, good fabrics and the way clothes make me feel when I wear them. I prefer pants to skirts and love a matching set. I am also fond of a good print and adore the hunt for a good vintage piece.

WHO ARE YOUR STYLE ICONS?

I love anybody who has the confidence to express their personality! I grew up loving Twiggy. Now .. Miuccia Prada, Isabella Rossellini, Michelle Obama, Tilda Swinton.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT GETTING OLDER?

life is for living and I try to make the most of every day!

DO MAGAZINES OR AD CAMPAIGNS TALK TO YOUR GENERATION?

In my experience most brands are trying to embrace being less ageist and generally more inclusive. This does not happen overnight but awareness has definitely increased.

HOW DO YOU APPROACH FASHION COMPARED TO YOUR MOTHERS GENERATION?

I think there is much more freedom today to wear exactly what makes you feel good!
