I met Justin van den Berg, a local Newtown artist at one of my friend Alison’s parties. I have recently discovered that on Saturdays Justin runs wonderful Still Life Workshops.
The classes start at 9.30am with a charming morning tea. Then Justin guides you through various exercises – he is a very good teacher – by lunch you will be sitting in front of your first completed artwork.
Gather in the kitchen for a glorious lunch and get to know your fellow ” artists in the making”
before working through the afternoon on a couple more works.
The setting is a beautiful Victorian terrace on Brown Street Newtown. The day, morning tea, refreshments Lunch and all materials cost, a reasonable $200.
There are only 7 places per class.
