I was driving down Crown Street Surry Hills on Friday and this hat hanging on the wall of The Stables caught my eye. More about the hat later…….
This is a newish store to Surry Hills and runs as a Collective with affiliations with a Hairdresser in Newtown and a weekender at Bawley Point on the South Coast.
We are the Stables tells their story ….”.It began with friends, and the direction to present a time-well-invested experience, not bound by trend, or locality.
We launched our concept in 2011 with the mindset of curating a mix of brands rich in story and quality, while immersed in the scent of coffee beans.
Over time our conceptual idea has evolved to include the multi level Stables Precinct, housing creative enterprises, diverse in their own vision, District Salon, Audrey & Him and A+H Hair Salons established in the heart of Newtown as well as The Stables Retail on Crown St Surry Hills.
Contrary to modern day department stores The Stables, as its moniker presents; retail, creative, digital media, distribution and much more while reminding all of us, businesses used to co-exist.
Visit us in person or online and discover the likes of Stutterheim, Monocle, TID or Moscot Eyewear established in 1915 and the many others, backed by the promise of quality and service.”
