This pint sized taberna has a faithful following of customers from all over the world, and many food critics cite it as a must-do Barna experience.
For nearly 100 years, Quimet & Quimet has specialised in serving farmhouse cheeses, charcuterie and conservas – seafood in a tin, often regarded more highly in Spain than the fresh variety.
Co-owner Joaquim Peréz arranges these ingredients with an artist’s eye, either into bite sized montadios ( various toppings on small slices of bread ) or tapas-type plates.
Try the cod with black-olice tapenade or créme fraiche with truffle-infused honey.
You MUST arrive just before the lunchtime rush or about 7pm for pre-dinner tapas, accompanied by a glass or two from the excellent wine list.
Run dont walk to this wonderful little hole in the wall.
