
This was one of our favorite experiences in Barcelona. A tip from a fellow community gardener, an architect who had been taken to this hole in the wall by some local friends.
It is hard to find – no signage – and even if you get there early you will probaly have to wait.
It is an authentic family run bodega hugely popular with local workers, however we shared a table with a couple in town to buy a superyacht, the food is sensational and the atmosphere worth the wait.





This is also said to be the birthplace of the spicy potato bomba.
La Cova Fumada also turns out a great tomato and onion salad the marinated sardines are unbeatable.
finish off with a coffee spiked with rocket fuel….
