John’s has been an institution on King Street Newtown for the past 50 years. Anon has been going for a number 3 cut since we moved here 18 years ago.
Sadly after 50 years they have been given four weeks notice to move on…..Chris, John’s son plans to look for another space when they return from a well earned break in Greece…I’ll keep you posted.

That is so sad. Another old, established, quintessential Newtown icon being moved on. For what? Another Thai restaurant, yoghurt shop, pop up something or other. I do hope Chris is able to find another spot in Newtown. I wish him well. Ear hairies will miss him and his Dad.
