Well that would be overseas if you live on the south side. Last friday a small gathering from Newtown – dress code: navy and black – travelled overseas and walked the tracks of North Head.
The heath-covered clifftops at North Head reveal unending ocean views and a spectacular panorama of the harbour and Sydney skyline. Situated on the northern-most edge of the harbour within sight of Hornby Lighthouse on South Head.
We took a relaxing ferry ride from Circular Quay had a coffee at Fairybower before setting off to discover the various tracks on North Head and surrounds.
Another coffee at the Bella Vista Cafe ( open for takeaways only on the day) after we had reached Fairfax lookout. If you feel you have earned a larger lunch you might like to check out Boilerhouse Kitchen and Bar closer to the Quarantine Station.
We headed back to the wharf and had a pub lunch at Wharf Bar, I’d recommend their tuna poke bowl….others went for a bowl of chips.
