We stayed one night at 33rd Lane. Bawa’s old home is now a living museum with his old house boy overseeing the maintence and hospitality.
The only room out of bounds is Bawa’s old bedroom, you can gaze but not sit. Breakfast is included.
It was wonderful to soak up the very fibre of the man.

This was such a unique experience. It was as though Mr Bawa was still there, perhaps just going for a walk down the road, and back soon. The easy charm and style will be forever in my mind.
