Friday lunch – Butler’s

Introducing a new regular post – Friday lunch.
I’ll be having lunch with my friend Chris King. We will be asking others to join the table at various times and will be mixing up the style and expense or how much we want to dress up…

At Chris’s suggestion we went to one of her favourite’s The Butler in Victoria Street, Potts Point. Those of you as old as me will remember it as Mezzaluna…..and that was a flash night out.

Tip : Ask for a table on the deck for a great city view and best with a table for 4 as a table for two we were way back, but it was still lovely.

We shared various dishes, starting with sourdough white beans olive oil and parsley…sipped a lovely Rosé.
Then Torched salmon puffed rice sesame , nori. Followed by Octopus, burnt apple, dill with sea herbs…my favourite and then Pork shoulder, chestnut, prunes and black garlic with a side of delicious brussell sprouts mimdette chervil mixed with cabinet vinegar

We were very well looked after by a waiter who we decided was a different style of Hipster than I’m used to in Newtown.

Thanks Chris for the wonderful lunch and hilarious company.
