A conversation I have with girlfriends…occasionally…. IS… what will we do when we get very old, for most of us decades off. We imagine ( probably unwisely) that we will outlive our partners/husbands. Those that have children hope they will be looked after, however, a rather large group of us will probably be on our own.
LA Darl and I have often talked of a communal living arrangement where resources are pooled and a butler/driver/cook/ and I guess nurse is employed to indulge us in our final years.
On a recent work trip, one of my much younger companions mentioned this article ( hit the link) so I thought I’d share it. I’m not one for cruising but you never know……

I find it very hard to imagine Lorrie as a permanent cruiser ……. and she would drive everyone mad!

I, too, am not much of a one for cruising – but the advantages over a nursing home are startling, not to mention thought provoking. Can we take a dog?
