The Coogee to Bondi Coastal walk – Training run

Images from the Coogee to Bondi walk at sunrise, Sydney, February 2018

Our training run this week was the Coogee to Bondi Coastal walk - almost - and back to Coogee.  Note the very kind signage for those of us on Febfast along the way!

We decided on an extremely early - 5.30am - start for this training run. The hope was to get the walk finished before being run over by the extreme exercisers who hit this, very beautiful coastal path, around 6am.

We were joined by our gal pal Col Champ and just made it to the end of Tamarama Beach before the hords started pounding past us, so we turned on our heels and headed back to Coogee for a swim at Wylies pool.

The round trip was about 10kms. A brilliant way to start the day, and our self satisfaction was unbearable .... sorry about that!

Anon and I have signed up for http://www.walkforkidscancer.org.au Charity walk at the end of March.

  1. Gosh, I’m feeling virtuous again just looking at this – twas a cracker way to start the day and the photos before and on sunrise are beautiful. It was such a humid and misty morning – I wasn’t surprised when it poured later in the day…I have to say, our timing was perfect even if I did have to have a serious nana nap later!
