Charlotte Thodey the artist and her home

I’m reposting this ….because this beautiful house is about to go on the market… stay tuned. Be one of the first to inspect. I’d buy it for the garden alone!

I met the artist Charlotte Thodey and her husband Stephen Westgarth, a collector who works with assembly and collage, through mutual friends…a little later I was introduced to her gobsmackingly beautiful home when invited to a winter dinner.

About her paintings Charlotte says ” I see beauty in very simple things. I’m very lucky that way. A bunch of carrots or radish are perfect jewells. I’m lucky to do something which I consider profound and which is so quiet and singular.”

Charlotte and Stephen very kindly let me photograph their home. It is a work of art in itself.

I did this post a couple of years ago…for more of Charlotte’s work go to her website….
