Boot Camp Prep in full swing! Titi Batu

Image

In just over three months NOT-So-Slim and I are heading back to Ubud and our self designed Boot Camp. Our camp revolves around this place Titi Batu a Sports Club on the outskirts of Ubud town. We were last there just as the world was closing up shop for two years with the pandemic. In fact we arrived home with only days to spare before the country closed its doors.

The posts I'll be posting about this trip are two years old but I have checked that all of the places mentioned are still there and open. It's taken this long to revisit because, to be honest, we didn't know if we'd ever return.

Our mornings at Titi Batu will go like this...Gym ( it's air-conditioned ) Swim, it has a 25 metre lap pool a shot of turmeric and an Indonesian coffee. This trip I will probably check out the various classes because the wonderful Pilates studio I have been visiting for years Ubud Pilates didn't survive the Pandemic.

The cost for a month's membership is A $100 which is great value.

  1. I don’t know whether to be excited about this, or in dread !!!!. But what Lorrie didn’t mention was that apart from around 100 minutes of serious exercise at Titi Batu in the morning, we also walked 10 – 15km a day in the humidity of Ubud, so we were shedding may thousands of kilojoules daily.

Even after the late afternoon beers or Vodka and Tonics or Martinis, that was a huge energy deficit that saw some pretty rapid weight loss.

So hopefully I can return to my Slim moniker ….
