If I was to recommend one place we have stayed in Sri Lanka, if you are looking for a total relax, it would be Apa Villas in Thalpe just outside Galle.
This is a small boutique hotel, only 8 villas, a lovely loyal staff…there is nothing more to do here than to relax.
The food is fresh, light and local. Try the curry night at least once.
If you are in need of a little more adventure Galle is a mere 15 minute Tuk Tuk ride away.
