A walk through the Fez Medina, Morocco – another life!

This is, of course, a repost. The trip to Fez and our stay in the wonderful Medina is one of the most memorable experiences we have had travelling.

Come for a wander through the lanes of Fez¬†with me. This city is one of the oldest in the world, it is still an authentic working city, Artisans still work in tiny hole-in-the-wall spaces. The markets sell produce so fresh it’s happily sitting there staring at you before its needed for supper.

The lanes and Souks away from the main two veins or tourist route remain much the same as centuries ago.

I was extremely lucky to be taken on this magical wander by Sue Bail, but I would suggest you employ the services of a guide recommended by the Riad where you are staying. There is no way you will see the treasures of the extrordinary city without one.

  1. An extraordinary labyrinth. I can almost smell the spices (but not the tannery, thankfully )
