A tarry around Tarifa, Southern Spain

Tarifa is a little fishing town on the southern most point of Europe. We stayed here one night before catching the ferry to Tangier, one hours ride away, in fact it is so close you can see the Moroccan coast from the beach.

This is were the Mediterranean sea meets the Atlantic ocean. It is THE wind capital of the world. So the most popular spot for winds sports in the world. The town is ringed by wind turbines…

The feel is laid pack holiday town…but because it was the first point of the Moorish invasion of Southern Spain in AD711, there is a bit of history about.

  1. Toned and Joe would hate Tarifa ….. and this southern coastline. There are literally thousands of their despised wind thingos ….. you know, those thingos that upset you on the scenic drive to Canberra …..
