On our last trip to Ubud, in 2013 ,we stayed at the wonderful Villa Taman Bebek.
A small eccentric collection of Villas, cheekily sitting on the same ridge as the Four Seasons and other 5 star joints…. just out of Ubud.
This place is the entire work of Made Wijaya who died this week in Sydney. This place, was said to be the site of many an outrageous party hosted by Mike Jagger, Bowie et al
We did’nt get to meet Made but his magic touch is all over this little bit of paradise.

What a beautiful place this is …. and testament to the flawless taste of Made’s design in both the architecture of each quite distinct villa, and in the exquisite landscaping and gardens. Thank you Made for the privilege of these experiences. RIP
