We moved into Casa Munzo a Casa Particular in town, about a kilometre from Casa Los Mangos, in Trinidad run by the multi- talented Julio Munzo.
Described by Lonely Planet below “A stunning colonial home with outstanding warmth, English-speaking assistance and a few gentle dogs on-site. There are three huge rooms and a two-level apartment. Delicious food is served on the patio. Book early. It’s insanely popular with licensed US people-to-people groups. Julio is an accomplished photographer offering courses on documentary photography, religion and life in Cuba’s new economic reality.
The owner, also a horse whisperer, offers horseback riding through the Centro Ecuestre Diana.”
Now it is true that Julio has many talents, however I think the strain of being THE charming host may well have defeated him. The house is large and the place is popular. Photographic workshops in the living room one day Wedding shoots the next. We did not witness Julio’s horse whispering talent, but I don’t doubt them. The big plus of this place is that Julio has very good english and in Cuba this is gold
