Last week I headed to the Southern Highlands town of Moss Vale to visit and talk to my dear friend Jan Campbell about her Tree Change. She and husband Pete moved from Newtown to Moss Vale about 2 years ago. I will be bring you her insightful take on the move next week.
Jan, who has a background in town planning and having worked for Sydney City Council was quick to see the potential of Moss Vale as a unique destination. This small town has a cluster of very interesting interior stores and enough small eateries and a bar to keep the Homewares orphans occupied.
The large Suzie Anderson Home would make the trip worthwhile in its self but the smaller handcrafted stores are a real treat.
So if you want a country break, only an hour and half down the highway, keep driving through Bowral and check out Moss Vale.
