In praise of Linen Sheets ……..

LinenSheets_blog_0015_Optimised

My mother always told me to buy quality forget the quantity. When I left home ( @ 18 ) she gave me a beautiful set of sheets, I still have the tread bare top sheet to this day.

Over the years I have worked my way up the thread count. I’m not sure why I decided to try some linen sheets, I do remember they were eyewateringly expensive.

But I am a total convert….in my view there is no going back. They are cool in summer and snug in winter, not fussy to look after and get softer and softer with age.

Friends who looked after Audrey while we headed to Bluesfest said they had the sweetest sleeps in the linen.

I’m doing a blog because I’ve noticed a number of outlets now, that seem to be more reasonably priced and the quality is very good.

  1. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ve often wondered about high thread count versus linen. When you visit us in Moss Vale we’ll take you to Suzie Anderson Home. She has a fabulous new store on the mainstreet 5 mins walk from our place. She stocks a lot of Hale product. http://www.suzieandersonhome.com
