60’s Vintage Fair – Hazlehurst – love of the old

Images from the 1960s Vintage Fair at Hazelhurst, Sydney

A few weeks ago I went out to Gymea to the 60’s Vintage Fair at Hazlehurst Arts Centre. A fun affair. Go Go dancers as per last week,  these sensational cars. The true surprise of the day tho was Hazlehurst itself. I had a stunning lunch with Kerri Ainsworth of Arts Travel Adventures. This is worth the drive, its not that far to The Shire.

Hazelhurst Arts Centre is an exciting initiative of vision and creative energy. Since opening in February 2000, Hazelhurst has established itself as a focal point for visual arts & craft activity in the Sutherland Shire and Southern Sydney generally. Amid landscaped gardens, Hazelhurst Arts Centre has been specifically designed to appeal to the whole community.

The combination of a major public gallery with a comprehensive arts centre, cafe, theatrette and community gallery makes a unique creative resource for everyone. Hazelhurst acknowledges the Dharawal speaking people, traditional custodians of the land, and pays respect to elders past and present.

The Cafe for a relaxed …. lunch is a must visit.
